I am taking classes to add a reading endorsement to my teaching certificate. Please share with me your thoughts, practices, ideas, antidotes, anything that will help me be a better teacher of reading to my students. I teach third grade reading, but I have readers that range from pre-primer to fifth grade!
Mrs. Sills, I admire your dedication to self-improvement! You have a very important role to help all your Midway Students improve in their reading skills. I work out at CSH, and was only 1 of 4 teachers who kept a job. I am not too far away from retiring from their, and then I want to work in public school in reading instruction. I am glad Georgia College has these reading classes; I am working toward endorsement and possibly toward a master's degree. Both my son's who attend Midway have had challenges with reading. I want to apply what I learn to assist their teachers in helping my boys improve.
